About the role
- Perform routine specialized laboratory and - tests (Hematology, Biochemistry, Serology, etc.); collect, label, and process patient specimens; and ensure accurate and timely reporting to support clinical diagnosis.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment; adhere to quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), infection prevention and control (IPC), and biosafety standards; and ensure proper waste management.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation; manage reagents and consumables; support clinicians with reliable diagnostic data; and uphold patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
Qualifications and requirements
- Candidates must have completed a 3-year Diploma or 4-year B.Sc. in Medical Technology (Laboratory Medicine) from an Institute of Health Technology (IHT) or any recognized institution.
- Applicants must have valid registration from the State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh (where applicable).
- Candidates must have 3-5 years of working experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting.
- Candidates with proficiency in operating laboratory equipment (particularly full auto analyzers) and relevant computer software will be given preference.
- Age preferably within 25-35 years (relaxable for experienced candidates).
- Ability to work in shifts, including night duties.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
