Various Hospital Facilities
With its British era architectural design, CMHR hospital is a two story building. Its various sections are physically capable to offer a wide range of clinical services for its patients. The hospital CMHR strategically positioned within heart of Rajshahi city. Good roads connect this hospital with every important part of the city and patients and their attendants may come day and night by any available public transport like rickshaw, auto, car, etc.
Whatever the categories of the patients are - maleor female, children, young or aged, local or distant, CMHR premises, which is a lovely alluring site, has something to offer to fulfill their tastes. The flower garden in front of the hospital is a special attraction too.
The downstairs of CMHR hospital is the main functioning area. The main section located here are :
RECEPTION AND INFORMATION DESK
This is the first place, located right in front of the hospital, where staffs are available 24 hours to give information related with hospital services. This section also completes the registration formalities for all new and revisit patients.
PATIENT WAITING AREA
This is a air-conditioned glass-paneled space, in the frontal section of the hospital building, where patients and their attendants can sit and wait. For their entertainments, televisions are available here.
OUT-PATIENT AND CONSULTATION ROOMS
The downstairs are the main place for out patients services. Various doctors' chambers are open here. The main OPD starts at 8-30 am and continues till 4-00 pm on all working days. Senior doctors consultations are available mostly on afternoon and evening. Information about doctors' timing are available at Reception of the Hospital. In addition there are full-fledged Eye department, Dental Department and physiotherapy section located in downstairs.
DIAGNOSTIC WING
Under this diagnostic wing, CMH currently has A well designed modernized hospital laboratory supporting with all pathological tests including hormone tests and C/S 24 hours a day An Ultrasonogram Corner with modern UGS machinery with 24 hour support for USG X-Ray ECG department supporting with all types of X-Rays Endoscopy as back up support for treatment and as per requirement Cost for all such services are available at Reception and Information and also in individual desk.
INPATIENT DEPARTMENTS
CMHR has separate and spacious General Male Ward, Maternity Ward and Children Ward in the downstairs. All wards are neatly decorated and well maintained. They are primarily for staying of general patients. But mothers are allowed in children wards to stay with children. PAYING CABINS
There are four Paying cabin, two AC and two Non-AC. They are spacious, with attached toilets. Extra bed facility is normally available in each cabin for the attendant of the admitted patient. Each cabin has Television with entertainments too. Please check for availability and daily charges for individual patient's cabin at Reception and Information.
PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
PHC annex section with a breast feeding corner is available in downstairs of the hospital too. PHC section is responsible for providing daily general patient's health screening and Health education for all patients.
OPERATION THEATRE AND LABOR ROOM
Two General Operation theatre supporting all Gynae, Ortho, general, ENT and any other operations (GA. Regional block and Local Anaesthesia). One eye OT is also located downstairs of Hospital for performing all eye operations
ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK
The first floor of CMHR some administrative offices and a library. But it has ward facility here too and female patients are kept here when required.

COST FOR FACILITIES AND SERVICES
CMHR is a Mission Health Facility of the Church of Bangladesh. As such it follows a very transparent mechanism in all dealings, including financial dealings. It is a non-profit hospital too. Currently donor supports for this hospital programs are minimum. And in such context the Hospital Governing Body adopts a polity to manage this hospital with its own income. The general principle in this regard is not to make any profit.
MALAKAR MEMORIAL FUND (MMFUND)
Malakar Memorial Fund (MMFund) is named after Dr. U.N. Malakar. The purpose of the MM Fund is to increase the availability of CMHR services to needy patients. The MM Fund is also open to receive contributions from patients and their families, hospital staff, visitors and other friends of the hospital, as well as from national and international sources. All MM Fund donations is deposited into a fixed-deposit account and reported to the Board of Trustees.
